Brandon, Man. (Rural Roots Canada) – Bushel Plus Ltd. is marking its 10th anniversary by rebranding as BranValt, a move the company says better reflects its evolution from a single-product startup to a global harvest optimization technology provider.

The official name change will take effect in July.

The company began a decade ago with its flagship SmartPan System, designed to help farmers measure and reduce harvest loss. Since then, it has expanded its portfolio to include MAD Concaves, the MiniCombine distribution partnership, and the acquisition and integration of Harvest Academy, a training and education program focused on improving on-farm harvest efficiency.

“We started our company, Bushel Plus, 10 years ago with just the SmartPan system, and that was our flagship product,” said Trinity Nylen, marketing coordinator with the company. “Since then… we’ve really created a dedicated line of harvest optimization solutions.”

Nylen said the company’s reach has grown significantly over the past decade, driven by adoption from growers and dealers across global markets. That growth, she added, has prompted the need for a unified brand identity that can encompass its expanding suite of tools and services.

“It’s time to evolve into a name that could encompass everything,” she said, noting the new BranValt identity will sit under the company’s broader positioning as a harvest optimization organization.

Company representatives say the rebrand also reflects key lessons learned over the past 10 years, particularly the importance of delivering measurable return on investment for farmers.

“The big thing is growers are looking for ROI in the field, and they want to be successful,” Nylen said, adding that strong relationships with farmers and dealers were central to the company’s early growth. “We’ve been able to create an organization with a vision and mission to increase global food production and help farmers first.”

The BranValt name has been slowly rolling out across products, packaging, communications and industry events since early this year, with full implementation expected by July. Bushel Plus products and services will continue to be available through its global dealer network during the transition.
