(Rural Roots Canada) – Celebrating local community heroes.

That’s the focus of Kubota Canada and the Canadian Hockey League’s 2021 Community Hero program aimed at telling the stories of volunteers in communities across Canada.

Kubota Canada Vice President of Sales, Marketing, Service & Engineering Yannick Montagano says the partnership is all about finding a way to recognize and share their stories.

“Over the years we have heard many stories of people who do extraordinary things in these communities for no other reason because they thought it was right,” Montagano said.

He says Kubota and the CHL have worked together since 2017.

“We came together because we share the same values and commitment to local communities across Canada.”

There were major changes made to the program this year, one of which is the winner will get $20,000 for a charity of their choice.

Nominations are being accepted until October 24, with the winner being announced in December.

This is the fourth year of the contest.
