Prairies (Rural Roots Canada) – After a stretch of mild fall weather, the Prairies are bracing for a sharp drop in temperatures, with rain, snow and strong winds expected in parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
In this episode of the Rural Roots Canada podcast, RRC meteorologist David Spence joins host Tim Parent to discuss the incoming system, what it means for farmers still wrapping up harvest, and the risk of frost in areas that have yet to experience a hard freeze. Spence also looks ahead to next week, when colder temperatures and cloudier conditions are expected to stick around through Halloween.
