Allison Witzel is the Assistant Herd Manager at Hollandale Farms in Kettleby, Ontario.

She says her experience with the student sponsorship program at the Advancing Women in Agriculture Conference has been great for her and her career.

“A big thing for me was goal setting being able to set smart goals and have a clear vision of where I want to be in the future and how I’m going to get there,” said Witzel.  “A few of the workshops I attended were about goal setting and I certainly enjoyed them and I will use them throughout my career.”

Witzel believes all women in the industry should take in the conference.

“It’s just a place to network and connect with other people in the ag industry who share the same struggles and successes and I just think it is an awesome way for all of us to connect and set goals with each other and just talk about the future and where our industry is going and that we have the power to make a difference.”

The conference is currently looking for sponsors for students for the upcoming event in Niagara Falls this month.
