My next guest is Alexis Kienlen, who is originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and now calls Edmonton, Alberta home. Her path to becoming a well known Agriculture and Agri-food reporter may surprise you. Alexis did not grow up thinking she would have a career writing about Food and the people who grow it. Yet, today she is fully entrenched in the world of Agriculture and Agri-Food.
Alexis has an Honours Degree in International Studies from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Graduate Diploma from Concordia University (Montreal).

She is the author of four books- two books of poetry, a biography and the forthcoming novel, “Mad Cow”, which will be available in April 2020. Alexis currently works as a reporter for “Alberta Farmer” newspaper. Her poems, articles and fiction pieces have appeared in publications and websites across Canada.
